SZCZAWNICA

Szczawnica Lamb Festival

Szczawnica Lamb Festival

Szczawnica hosted the very first Lamb Festival – Pieniny Flavors of Nature, a culinary celebration unlike anything the Pieniny Mountains — or Poland — had ever seen. The highlight? A new Polish record — and possibly even a world record — for the largest serving of lamb goulash ever cooked: over 1,620 liters!

The record-breaking dish was created by celebrity chefs Mikołaj Rey and Jakub Wolski ‘Wild Chef’, who spent the day cooking, chatting with visitors, and posing for photos. Everyone had a chance to taste the aromatic goulash — and plenty did.

But the flavors didn’t stop there. Festival-goers could sample lamb in countless creative forms, prepared by local restaurants: lamb pierogi, mutton cepelinai, and roasted lamb made from the award-winning Zachwiej family recipe.

Even in its debut year, the Szczawnica Lamb Festival drew huge crowds and created a truly special atmosphere. Those who couldn’t make it probably heard the buzz on RMF FM radio, broadcasting live from the event all day. A festival with soul, flavor, and people you’ll never forget.
See you next year!
