SKI RESORTS

Szczawnica is home to two well-prepared and well-organized ski resorts:

PKL Palenica (in the center of Szczawnica) — a modern chairlift, FIS-certified runs, challenging black slopes, and a dedicated learning area for children and beginners. The Palenica II run, stretching about 1.8 km, is sure to satisfy every skier.

Jaworki-Homole Ski Arena – about 3.6–4 km of trails of varying difficulty, served by a chairlift and T-bar lifts. The resort is a great choice both for families and for those seeking more challenging runs.

SKI TOURING

The area around Szczawnica is perfect for ski touring! You’ll find routes winding through forest paths and valleys, while the Small Pieniny range is an ideal choice for anyone looking to begin their adventure with this winter activity.

One highlight is the beautifully located Durbaszka mountain hut. From the car park near the Homole Gorge in Jaworki, the route can be extended to Wysoki Wierch and even to the Palenica ski station — a fantastic choice for anyone who loves breathtaking views.

ICE RINK AND SLEDDING

In the center of Szczawnica, there’s an ice rink perfect for both children and adults. Music, skate rental, and a special area for the youngest skaters make it an inviting place to take your first steps on the ice. Nearby, gentle slopes prepared for sledding offer plenty of family-friendly winter fun.
