The Small Pieniny are a true treasure trove of charming nooks, and the crown jewel is undoubtedly Homole Gorge (Wąwóz Homole) in Jaworki, where limestone walls form a narrow, enchanting corridor. Adding to the magic are the famous Stone Books, which, according to legend, record the fate of humanity. This short and enjoyable trail will delight both adults and young visitors. For those seeking a longer hike, the trail can be extended all the way to Wysoka, the highest peak in the Pieniny Mountains.

Homole Gorge enchants visitors at any time of year, offering a magical world of narrow, rocky canyons. In the past, treasure seekers ventured into its depths, leaving behind legends of hidden jewels that have lasted to this day.

The green trail follows the stream, winding along numerous footbridges and stone steps, flanked by towering limestone walls that reach up to 120 meters! The short hike culminates at the Stone Books (Kamienne Księgi) on Dubantowska Polana.

This remarkable rock formation, also called the Library, is said in Lemko legend to hold the fate of all humanity. Its appearance resembles a row of enormous stone volumes, making it one of the geological treasures of the Pieniny.

The walk is easy and suitable for children as well as less experienced hikers. Once we reach Jameriska, we can decide our next step—either continue high up toward Wysoka or descend the gravel road back toward the village of Jaworki (20 min).
