Ahead of us is an exceptionally picturesque and peaceful hike through the Małe Pieniny (Small Pieniny Range) — perfect for a relaxed family walk, with views that will linger in your memory for a long time. A comfortable gravel path first leads to the Pod Durbaszką Resort, then follows a gentle ridge all the way to Wysoki Wierch, which, like a magician, reveals spectacular panoramas before our eyes.

Route: Jaworki – Pod Durbaszką (1 h 10 min; 2.8 km) – Wysoki Wierch (45 min; 1.9 km)

We start our hike in Jaworki, at the parking lot by the entrance to Homole Gorge. Instead of heading into the gorge, we walk back a few dozen meters toward Szczawnica and turn left onto a wide gravel path. A large information board at the junction makes it easy to find the right trail.

The route treats us to open meadow views and, often, grazing sheep that add a charming, pastoral feel to the journey.

In just under an hour, we reach the Pod Durbaszką Mountain Resort — a perfect spot to rest and enjoy a cup of tea. From here, we follow the blue trail along the ridge of the Small Pieniny, where stunning panoramas accompany us almost the entire way. After about 40–45 minutes, we arrive at Wysoki Wierch — one of the area’s most beautiful natural viewpoints. From here, sweeping vistas stretch across the Tatra Mountains, the Pieniny, the Gorce, and the Beskid ranges. This spot is a favorite for wedding photo sessions and photography workshops. We return along the same scenic route.
